The Barbados Nation reports that over 150,000 Barbadians are currently accessing free Wi-Fi internet around the island. According to the newspaper, although the Barbados Entrepreneurship Foundation (BEF) fell short of its target of covering 100% of the population under its ‘Wi Not’ initiative launched just under a year ago, programme manager Chris Harper says the organisation is pleased to have enabled Wi-Fi access to previously unserved areas, adding that coverage currently stands at around 60% of the island.
