DT ends cooperation with Drillisch on fraud allegations

German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom (DT) has announced it has ended its cooperation with mobile service provider Drillisch and its subsidiaries, on the suspicion that the company has committed fraud regarding commission fees. In a statement on its website, DT said it suspects that Drillisch subsidiary Simply Communications, which sells pre-paid mobile services provided over DT’s network, has since February 2011 activated tens of thousands of mobile phone lines, without actually having sold the contracts to customers. Therefore, DT has alleged that it has been duped into paying commissions to Drillisch, and has filed criminal charges against the service provider, but has stressed that the matter will not affect Drillisch customers using DT’s network
