Western Canadian quadruple-play telco Telus has posted a 7% year-on-year increase in revenues to CAD2.62 billion (USD2.57 billion) in the third quarter of this year, aided by growth in its wireless and pay-TV segments. Net profit reached CAD326 million in July-September 2011, up by nearly 30%, although if removing three one-off items, the net rise was 12%.
