Irish operator Vodafone Ireland closed out September 2011 with a total of 2.22 million mobile users, thanks to a quarterly net gain of 17,000 connections, while its total customer base increased to 2.45 million. The cellco said average revenues per user (ARPU) decreased by 0.9% to EUR32.60 (USD44.90) in the third quarter, although minutes of use (MOU) per customer grew by 0.6% from the second quarter to 268 minutes
