Vietnamese mobile operator Vietnamobile has commercially launched its HSPA+ network, becoming the fifth wireless operator in the country to provide 3G services, Saigon GP Daily reports. The new network supports maximum download speeds of up to 21Mbps. Vietnamobile, which is a partnership between Hong Kong's Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited (HTIL) and local firm Hanoi Telecom Company (HTC), aims to provide 94% of the population in the cities of Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Hanoi with 3G coverage, before expanding services to other parts of the country.
