Dow Jones Newswires reports that Dutch incumbent KPN Telecom has abandoned plans to acquire domestic cable provider Caiway (CAIW) from Rabo Bouwfonds' Communication Infrastructure Fund (CIF), citing the numerous objections raised by the competition authority Nederlandse Mededingingsautoriteit (NMa) as the reason.
