Taiwanese full service telecoms operator Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) is set to increase the upload speeds of its fibre-based broadband packages at no additional cost to its subscribers, Digitimes reports. The telco will reportedly increase the uplink rate for both its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) tariffs starting from mid-July 2012; the move comes after the National Communications Commission (NCC) approved the telco’s plans to boost the speeds on 13 June
