Bahrain’s Council of Ministers has approved the country’s Third National Telecommunications Plan, devised by the government in consultation with national regulator the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), covering sector developments over the next three years. The policy’s stated aims are ‘economic and social advancement’, and the scope of the plan attempts to modernise and develop the scope of the previous national plan (published 2008) taking into account new technologies and convergent trends
