Broadband provider Wateen Telecom has begun a restructuring programme that will see its WiMAX operations take a back seat. Telecompaper reports that Wateen conducted a detailed review of its business and pressure from power outages and escalating energy prices had led it to restructure its WiMAX business, to focus on areas with stronger demand. In addition to its WiMAX services, Wateen operates fibre-optic and hybrid fibre coaxial (HFC) cable networks
