Namibia’s Mobile Telecommunications Corporation (MTC) has reported details of the early take-up of its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) mobile broadband services, which it launched in parts of capital Windhoek in mid-May. MTC says it currently has 1,000 subscribers to its data-only, post-paid LTE service, which already accounts for 23% of the total data usage amongst its entire two million-plus mobile subscriber base.
