Sonatel has reported that its Guinean subsidiary Orange Guinea posted revenue of XOF26.1 billion (USD48.4 million) in the first half of 2012, thanks to a 25% increase in its mobile subscriber base to 1.54 million. Average revenue per user (ARPU) soared 48.6% year-on-year to GNF44,250 (USD6.1) per month for the first six months of the year. The Guinean operator accounted for 8.1% of parent company Sonatel’s total revenue, and 70% of the group’s revenue growth.
