Greek cellco Wind Hellas has reported that its new HSPA+ network has reached 89% coverage of the population of capital city Athens and 92% of Greece’s second city Thessaloniki, following a rollout begun in the second half of last year. According to independent test results in the two cities, the network’s peak download speeds reach above 21Mbps and average 14.8Mbps. Wind plans to carry out similar upgrades in the coming months in other tourist areas on the Greek mainland, certain islands and the southern Peloponnese peninsula
