Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) yesterday finalised a previously announced resolution to limit the individual spectrum cap in the upcoming 3G licensing auction to 2x15MHz (down from an earlier mooted level of 2x20MHz). The decision means that three equal 2100MHz band licences are likely to be awarded to the incumbent mobile operators, Advanced Info Service (AIS), Digital Total Access Communication (DTAC) and True Move. The reserve price for a 2x5MHz bidding block in the auction scheduled for October remains unchanged at THB4.5 billion (USD143 million)
