Axtel boosts FTTH speeds to 150Mbps

Alternative Mexican broadband provider Axtel has announced that it has increased the top-end speed available over its fibre-broadband infrastructure, confirming that customers can now access downlink rates of up to 150Mbps. ‘We were the first to offer 100Mbps and now we are the first and only one offering 150Mbps for the residential market,’ said Bruno Ramos, Axtel’s executive director of marketing and innovation, of the development. As noted in TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, in October 2010 Axtel announced the commercial launch of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) services, revealing that it was offering connections with downlink speeds of up to 100Mbps
