Nepal’s telecoms regulator, the Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA), says the number of fixed and mobile telephony subscribers reached 16.979 million as 14 June 2012 (Nepal calendar, Jestha 2069), taking overall teledensity to 63.76 per 100 of population.
