Slovak Telekom has reported a 5% year-on-year drop in revenues to EUR667 million (USD905 million) in the first nine months of 2011, while EBITDA fell 7.2% to EUR297 million and net income declined by 7.4% to EUR100 million. While the incumbent PSTN operator’s number of fixed lines in service continued decreasing, by 4.1% in 9M11 to 1.03 million, its number of fixed broadband accesses grew year-on-year by 8% to 457,000 at the end of September 2011, and the number of IPTV subscribers over the same period went up by 42% to 153,000. The total number of mobile customers signed up to the telco’s T-Mobile branded services fell amidst tough competition, dropping 3.7% in twelve months to 2.32 million at 30 September.
