Uganda Telecom Ltd (UTL) has been given a 21-day ultimatum to clear its outstanding interconnection fees, reports the Daily Monitor. South African-backed MTN Uganda issued UTL a demand to pay the UGX22 billion (USD8.75 million) it claims it is owed in unpaid interconnection fees. MTN’s legal representatives said that should UTL fail to pay, the matter would be taken to court to pursue the telco’s liquidation
